Sister Jude (Peggy) Kolm, OSU (Margaret Kolm) 84, died April 4, 2017, at Maria Regina Residence. She was born on November 11, 1932, in Brooklyn, NY. She entered the Congregation of the Ursuline Sisters of Tildonk on November 25, 1951, and professed her final vows on August 22, 1957.

She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education and a Masters in Mathematics from St. John’s University. Sr. Peggy ministered for many years in Catholic Education. She began her teaching career in 1954 at St. Maurice in Stamford, CT. From there she taught at Our Lady of Grace in Howard Beach, NY (1957-1959), St. Thomas the Apostle, Hartford, CT (1959-1967), Holy Family High School, Huntington, NY (1967-1984) and La Salle Military Academy, Oakdale, NY (1984-1989).

Sr. Peggy also served her community as an Assistant Novice Mistress. After 35 years of teaching, she continued in a ministry of prayer.

Her funeral mass was celebrated April 9 at St. Ursula Center followed by interment.
